We're your source on the web for everything body-mind-spirit. You can view our Event Calendar in its entirety, or refine it to show your own geographical area... and you can browse our nationwide Listings for businesses, practitioners, products and services.
Q. Do I have to register to use the site? Does it cost anything to create an account?
Anyone can explore the Light Listings, registered or not. You'll only need to create an account if you want to
add listings to the directory, or submit events to the calendar. It is free to create an account.
Q. Does it cost anything to add an event? What if I want to further promote my event here?
It is free to add an event to the calendar -- just register here.

Q. Does it cost anything to add a listing?
It's free to add a Basic listing -- -- just register here. Unlike many other holistic directories, even our Basic listing allows you to provide your full contact information with email and website, plus descriptive text up to 500 characters.
Q. So what's the catch? What do you get out of giving me a free listing?
The more listings we have, the better. It's as simple as that. While we do appreciate paid listings, our goal is to have the most comprehensive internet directory for everything body-mind-spirit. We expect the vast majority of our listings to be free/Basic listings, and we welcome every single one of them.
Q. What if I want to add a photo, or get listed in more than two categories?
If you want to add images and other features to your listing, you can upgrade to a Plus or a Premium listing. This also gives your listing priority placement on search results. Premium listings will come first in the search results, then Plus, then Basic. To see this principle in action, search for "books" in the search field at the top of the page.
Q. My business/service doesn't fit any of the categories listed. Can I suggest one for you to add?

Plus listings are only $5 a month ($60 per year), and Premium listings are $15 a month ($180 per year), billed once at the annual rate. Q. I don't have a webpage yet. Can I use my listing here for that purpose?
Yes! All levels of listings, including Basic, allow you to choose a personalized URL (your address on the web) at The Light Listings. It will look like this: www.lightlistings.com/your_name. You are more than welcome to use this URL on your business cards, flyers, or other promotional materials.
Using your personal Light Listing as your webpage saves you time and money! You won't have to pay for web hosting, you won't have to design a website (or pay someone else to), and you can make frequent changes yourself, quickly and easily. If you have your own domain name, or want to buy one, you can direct it to your personal Light Listing...and voilà! - you have a website.
Q. Can I add more than one listing? I sell custom artwork, read tarot, and also organize women's retreats.
Many of our customers are similarly multi-faceted, and we're happy to accommodate such creative people by offering up to 20 listings per account. This total can consist of any combination of Basic, Plus, and Premium listings. For example, a holistic spa with a gift store might create the following:
1) a Premium listing for the business itself with multiple photos of the building and amenities,
2) five Plus listings featuring the photos and accreditation of the staff members, and
3) several Basic listings describing the most popular products or services, listed in appropriate categories.
Q. What if someone just lists the same business 20 times?
Our site is carefully designed to eliminate spammers, and administrators regularly scan the site for duplicate listings and inappropriate content. If you wish to contact us directly regarding any problems with the site or any of its content, you are welcome to do so.
Q. My friend owns a great vegetarian restaurant, but she's really busy. Can I add her business for her?
We welcome the input of our visitors in making this site the premier body-mind-spirit web directory, and we're eager to include every resource and event our visitors find worthwhile.
Ideally, people should be able to create and edit their own events and listings -- so we prefer that you email your friend to tell her about The Light Listings.
You may, however, add an event or listing on behalf of someone else. If you're not the owner/organizer, please notify that person when you do so, and respond promptly if s/he asks for any changes or requests access to the listing. Individuals, business owners, and event organizers have the final word on how their own information appears on this site, and we do reserve the right to delete any listing for any reason.
Q. If I join your email list, will my email be sold or released to anyone?
We honor the privacy of our visitors, and will not sell or distribute your emails to an outside party. If you have a listing on our site, or if you join our email list (see right column), you will occasionally receive emails from The Light Listings, informing you of new features available on the site.
